Like Dr. Danny Jordan, the CEO of the 2010 world cup said, the waiting is over. For me and millions of Die Hard Super Eagles fans, the waiting is finaly over, and the Eagles file out to stake their claim as a contender for the coveted trophy.
I remember when once sitting out with a group of friends, and discussed about the world cup, and how well it would if our first match was against a relatively weaker team. Well, it’s good to have a good first match and win the 3 points at stake, but it is also good, if not better to be tested.
Nigeria is no longer a team to be taken lightly by any team in world football, despite our half-hazard approve to preparations and everything generally.
I don’t know what gives me such believe, but i do believe that the Super Eagles will shock the world at this world cup. We have the players, and all they need is the believe in themselves, and not overwhelm by the aura of such players as Lionel Messi. Our players are stars too, and i tell you, the Argentines will be scared when they get on the pitch today.
Well, after all that said, it leaves with predicting the scores of the match. Me, i think it will be a draw, 2-2 will settle it.

On the back of this display, how on earth will we manage to win even a match at this world cup?
We did not attack, our defenders have tried, but our midfielders were mostly ball watching. Not marking and closing down the Argentines, for crying out loud, the boys in blue and white have been allowed to roam and control the midfield and dictate the pace of the game for far too long in the game.
Well, after watching the the South Korea v Greece, i feel we will still make it through.
